The course, conducted by the al-Nathm Unit of the Strategic Center for Planning and Development, aimed to empower the shrine’s staff with linguistic skills that facilitate interaction with visitors from diverse nationalities, as the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) welcomes pilgrims from around the world.
Enhancing Staff Communication Skills
Jawad Waheed, one of the directors at the al-Nathm Center, stated, “This course was designed for shrine staff who have direct interaction with pilgrims, enabling them to better understand the needs of international visitors and to provide them with the highest quality of service.”Appreciation for the Educational Initiative
Participants expressed their gratitude to the al-Nathm Center for organizing such programs, emphasizing the importance of having trained personnel capable of answering pilgrims’ questions and guiding them to their destinations.They added: “English is one of the most essential tools for communication with foreign pilgrims. This course has significantly enhanced our ability to assist visitors, particularly in cases of lost or disoriented pilgrims within the sacred precincts.”
It is noteworthy that this initiative is part of a broader series of professional development courses conducted by the al-Nathm Center to strengthen the skills of the shrine’s staff serving within the holy courtyards of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine.
