According to the Central News Unit of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the Muhsin Children’s Cultural Center—affiliated with the Alawi Educational Commission of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine—has commenced its activities through substantive participation in the Iraq International Children’s Festival, held from the nineteenth to the twenty-eighth of this month at the Baghdad International Exhibition Center.
With the support of its specialized staff, the Center is presenting a comprehensive program tailored to the needs and interests of Iraqi children, reflecting the role of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine in supporting and cultivating children’s talents.
Shubbar al-Tabatabai, director of the Muhsin Cultural Center’s pavilion at the exhibition, stated in an interview with the News Center:
“This year, the Center is participating with a pavilion measuring one hundred and three square meters. The pavilion was designed under the supervision of architectural engineers from the Engineering Affairs Department of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine to correspond with the world and temperament of children and to offer them an integrated educational-entertainment experience.”
He added:
“The pavilion comprises several sections inspired by the Center’s operational units. The most prominent are the Publications Section, dedicated to showcasing written works focused on children’s culture; the Alawi Youth Unit, designated for the adolescent age group; and the Artistic Production Unit, which is participating for the first time in Iraq with a children’s podcast in which children engage in dialogue with peers of their own age group.”
The Field Activities Section oversees the entirety of the pavilion’s events, in addition to the Puppet Theater, the Faheem Laboratory, and interactive competitions modeled on global programs such as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
The pavilion director noted that during the festival’s opening days, the pavilion received extensive attention from visitors, including delegations from the Ministry of Education, the director of Al-Huda Institute—the festival’s principal sponsor—and others.
Tabatabai explained:
“As of this morning, more than three hundred children from three different schools have visited the pavilion. The children participated in numerous activities and received gifts and printed materials provided by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine.”
The participation of the Muhsin Cultural Center in the Iraq International Children’s Festival this year further consolidates its role in supporting children and advancing cultural and educational development. Through offering innovative educational and recreational programs, the Center fosters creativity and contributes to the mission of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine in serving society.
