The holy city of Najaf al-Ashraf witnessed a significant influx of pilgrims from various provinces of Iraq on this solemn occasion. Pilgrims arrived at the sacred shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) to renew their commitment and to recall the hardships endured by the Noble Household following the passing of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
Miqdad al-Khirsan, Deputy Director of the Guesthouse Department, stated to the Shrine’s Media Center:
“The guesthouse of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine provided approximately thirty thousand blessed meals in three servings throughout the day and night of this occasion. This initiative was undertaken to meet the needs of the pilgrims who had traveled from different provinces of Iraq to Najaf.”
The various departments of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine mobilized all their resources to offer comprehensive services, prepare appropriate resting areas for pilgrims, facilitate the movement of mourning processions and visitors, and deploy medical teams to deliver healthcare services and respond to emergency situations.
Participants in the mourning ceremonies expressed their condolences before Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), recalling the oppression faced by the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and the tribulations that befell them after the passing of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), as they commemorated the martyrdom of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
