Unveiling of a Scholarly Encyclopedia at the Mirza Naeini Conference in Cooperation with the Imam Ali Holy Shrine

The Imam Ali Holy Shrine is organizing the International Conference honoring the eminent scholar, Mirza Naeini (may God sanctify his soul), which will feature the unveiling of a major scholarly encyclopedia.

The Holy Shrine is preparing to host this significant academic event, held in cooperation with the Imam al-Hussain Holy Shrine and the Administration of the Religious Seminaries in Qom, on the occasion of launching one of the largest encyclopedic projects dedicated to the works of this distinguished scholar.
This project comprises the collection, verification, and publication of Mirza Naeini’s intellectual legacy in forty volumes—an invaluable body of knowledge that continues to serve as a foundational reference in the seminaries. The conference will commence on Thursday morning in the Alawi Assembly Hall.

Sayed Naba Al-Hamami, representative of the Alawi Center for Islamic Research and Studies affiliated with the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:

“The process of gathering, verifying, and republishing the scholarly works of Mirza Naeini is currently underway, with the aim of presenting them in a forty-volume academic encyclopedia. This collection will encompass his intellectual, jurisprudential, and methodological contributions.
The Imam Ali Holy Shrine, alongside the Imam al-Hussain Holy Shrine and the Seminary Administration in Qom—together with a group of researchers who have contributed to the study and documentation of the life and scholarly method of Allamah Naeini (may God sanctify his soul)—are all participating in this major undertaking.”

He added:

“The Imam Ali Holy Shrine has mobilized all its academic and logistical capacities to ensure that the conference is held in the best possible manner, in a way that highlights the importance of this monumental scholarly achievement and its role in reviving the legacy of one of the most prominent figures of the Usuli school.”

Al-Hamami further explained:

“In view of the esteemed scholarly status of Mirza Naeini—renowned as the teacher of jurists and mujtahids, whose ideas in jurisprudence and principles continue to form a foundation for advanced academic discourse in the seminaries—this conference is being convened to highlight these invaluable contributions.”

It is noteworthy that the first phase of this international conference was held within the precincts of the holy shrines in the cities of Qom and Mashhad. Najaf al-Ashraf will host the second phase, while the closing ceremony is scheduled to take place in the Sayed al-Awsiya Hall at the Imam al-Hussain Holy Shrine in the holy city of Karbala.
