As part of commemorating the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Imam Ali Holy Shrine implemented one of the largest floral decoration initiatives at sacred sites in Iraq, utilizing exclusively natural flowers.
Bariq Hadi, head of the Decoration Unit at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:
“This year, the unit has overseen the decoration of holy shrines and sacred sites with more than 20,000 natural flower stems. These flowers were distributed to shrine sites in various provinces in coordination with the relevant administrations. The responsibilities of this unit also include supporting floral decoration programs during religious occasions. Our staff maintain continuous coordination with the departments responsible for holy shrines and sacred sites, and on average, more than 100,000 natural flower stems are delivered to revered shrines on each major occasion.”
It is noteworthy that these efforts are undertaken to create an atmosphere befitting the sanctity of these blessed days and to honor the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
