The Women’s Library, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs and in cooperation with the “al-Nathm” Center of the Strategic Planning and Development Unit at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, held a cultural seminar at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kufa, under the title “The Role Model: Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her),” within the framework of the Week of Chastity programs.
Key Themes of the Seminar
The Head of the Women’s Library Unit, Ms. Sarah Hamoudi, stated:
“This seminar focused on intellectual and ethical discussions and on the life and conduct of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) as a model of modesty, knowledge, and moral excellence.”
Objectives of the Seminar
She explained:
“The seminar aimed to promote the concepts of chastity and ethical commitment and to clarify their role in shaping the character of female university students. Another key objective was to connect the Fatimid example with the challenges of the university environment and the contemporary era through an academic approach appropriate to the educational setting.”

The seminar was met with positive reception and active interaction from female students, reflected in their participation and discussions, demonstrating their awareness of and interest in the seminar’s content.

At the conclusion of the seminar, a number of female students expressed their desire for the continuation of such cultural activities, noting their effective role in strengthening ethical values and enhancing intellectual awareness within the university environment.
