Coinciding with the festivities of “The Born Inside Kaaba” week, held in celebration of the blessed birth of Amir Al-Muminin Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the Imam Ali (peace be upon him) Charity Center—which is responsible for the care of orphans and those in need—organized the distribution of winter clothing and a special visitation program for students of the Rayahin Institute.
Mr. Adel Al-Jamali, Director of the Imam Ali (peace be upon him) Charity Center, stated:
“This program included hosting students from the Rayahin Institute, which specializes in cochlear implants and hearing-impaired cases and is affiliated with the Department of Care for Persons with Special Needs in Najaf Al-Ashraf. The number of benefiting students exceeded 100, and for each child, a complete winter clothing package of more than seven items was provided to meet their needs during the winter season.”
Visitation and Dedicated Program
He continued:
“This support program also included the teaching staff of the Institute and their families, totaling 20 teachers, and winter clothing was distributed to them as well. The total number of beneficiaries from this initiative surpassed 170 individuals.”
Al-Jamali emphasized:
“The Center prepared a comprehensive plan to transport the students and academic staff from the Institute to the Imam Ali Holy Shrine using modern vehicles, while ensuring that all of their needs were provided for; furthermore, they were honored by being offered lunch at the Shrine’s guesthouse.”
The administration of the Rayahin Institute expressed its appreciation for this initiative, highlighting its positive impact on the morale of the children, describing it as a source of joy and smiles on their faces, and commending the ongoing humanitarian and social role of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine.
It is noteworthy that the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, during religious occasions linked to the births of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), grants special care to this significant segment of society. Through the Imam Ali Charity Center—dedicated to the care of orphans and the needy—the Shrine continues to design and implement comprehensive programs to follow up with and support this impactful group within the community.
