According to the Central News Unit of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, as part of its preparations to welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, the Holy Shrine has launched a wide range of service initiatives. Among these efforts is the carpeting of more than 6,500 square meters of the sacred courtyard with newly installed carpets, aimed at providing an appropriate spiritual and devotional environment for pilgrims visiting the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) during the days and nights of this blessed month.
In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Haider Al-Isawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, said:
“The teams of the Services Affairs Department have begun carpeting the courtyards as part of an integrated plan designed to prepare a faith-inspiring and spiritually uplifting atmosphere in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan.”
Al-Isawi added:
“The newly installed carpets feature refined botanical motifs and distinctive designs. They have been manufactured using the finest internationally sourced yarns and in accordance with accredited global standards, in a manner fully befitting the sanctity of the site and its revered religious status.”
He further noted that the carpeted area exceeds 6,500 square meters, encompassing the surrounding arcades, the main courtyard of the Holy Shrine, and the entrances to the courtyard gates, thereby ensuring greater comfort for pilgrims within the Imam Ali Holy Shrine.
Al-Isawi explained that the carpets were produced in various sizes, with the total number of pieces reaching approximately 3,000 carpets. He emphasized that these efforts fall within the broader organizational and service initiatives undertaken by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine during major pilgrimage seasons, with the aim of providing the highest level of care and service to honored pilgrims.
