In commemoration of the blessed birth anniversaries of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), and within the framework of the Fourth International Festival of (Two Sadiqs) Week, the choir affiliated with the Media Department of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine played a distinguished role in marking this auspicious occasion.
The activities extended across the courtyards of some holy shrines as well as a number of universities in Najaf al Ashraf.
Commemorations at the Holy Shrines
Sajjad al-Fahham, head of the choir, stated to the Shrine’s News Center:
“By direction of the department’s leadership, our group had the honor to perform first at the sanctuary of Amir al-Muminin, in the courtyard of Lady Fatimah al Zahra, as part of the (Two Sadiqs) Week programs and the Noble Prophet Poetry Festival.
We also participated at the sacred shrine of the two Imams al Kadhimayn, in the Spring of Birth Festival organized by the al Kadhimayn Holy Shrine.”
Commemorations at the universities
Al-Fahham added:
“Our choir also contributed to two academic celebrations: one at the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and another at the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Faculty of Sience.
At these events, melodious recitations and refined poetry in praise of the Noble Prophet and Imam Jafar al-Sadiq resonated throughout the gatherings, filling hearts with joy and spirituality.”
The Media Department of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine thus assumed an active role in the programs commemorating the births of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him). This contribution formed part of the Fourth International Festival of (Two Sadiqs) Week, which extended for six days, from the 13th to the 19th of Rabi al Awwal 1447 AH, and encompassed a wide array of religious, cultural, and social activities, poetry recitals, and ceremonies inaugurating several new service projects.
