The Imam Ali Holy Shrine has launched a new electronic platform for distributing meal cards offered by the Guesthouse of Imam Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him).

The Head of the Pilgrims’ Guesthouse Department at the Holy Shrine announced the inauguration of the electronic meal system, designed to streamline the process of receiving the sacred meal cards and enhance convenience for pilgrims.

Atheer al-Tamimi, Head of the Pilgrims’ Guesthouse Department, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:

“This system has been comprehensively designed to simplify the process of obtaining meal cards electronically. Pilgrims, whether from inside or outside Iraq, can now receive their cards at any time without waiting in long lines.”

He further explained:

“The program was developed by the Information Technology Center of the Holy Shrine. After receiving their electronic cards, pilgrims can proceed directly to the Guesthouse section. Upon entry or at designated distribution points, the cards are electronically scanned — a process that accelerates service delivery while reducing crowding and waiting time.”

It was also noted that the The Host application is now available on Google Play, as part of the Shrine’s ongoing efforts to enhance service systems, facilitate the visitation experience, and provide greater comfort for pilgrims visiting the sacred shrine of Imam Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him).
