Holy Alawi Shrine Concludes Its Summer Educational Courses for Students

The Holy Alawi Shrine has brought its summer educational courses for students to a close.

The Holy Alawi Shrine concluded its summer educational and formative course program, which drew the participation of more than 2,900 students from various provinces of Iraq. The program was held under the slogan “We Learn from Ali (peace be upon him)” and covered students aged 11 to 17.

Shaikh Karrar al-Khafaji, head of the Religious Affairs Department at the Holy Alawi Shrine, told the Shrine’s News Center:

“The Religious Outreach Unit of the Holy Alawi Shrine held the closing ceremony of the summer courses program in the Mohsen Hall, in the courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her). The ceremony was attended by students, their parents, and the instructors who took part in these courses, which had been held in the mosques and Husseiniyyahs of the city of Najaf.”

He added:

“These courses were held under the supervision of a group of instructors and clerics from the Najaf seminary, and included lessons in ethics, jurisprudence, and the sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Instruction was also offered on the Noble Quran and on the life of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and his pure Ahl al-Bayt.”

He noted:

“These courses continued throughout the schools’ summer holidays and were held to strengthen the religious and moral awareness of students. At the closing ceremony, the instructors and the top-performing, distinguished students were also honored, in appreciation of their efforts and participation in this program.”

The course instructors and the students’ families likewise expressed their gratitude for the attention the deputy custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine gives to students through such educational and formative programs. They stressed the importance of these programs in instilling the teachings of the Noble Quran in the younger generation and in familiarizing them with the life of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

It is worth noting that these courses were held as part of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s commitment to strengthening the religious and moral awareness of the younger generation, safeguarding them against deviant ideas, and instilling Islamic values within them.
