Imam Ali Holy Shrine Organizes a Specialized Workshop for Administrators of the Sacred Shrines

The Imam Ali Holy Shrine has organized a specialized workshop focused on the management and design of public events for officials representing various sacred Shia shrines.

The al-Nathm Center, the Strategic Planning and Development Unit of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, held this educational and professional workshop for a group of distinguished staff members from the administrations of Shia sanctuaries.

Titled “Management and Design of Public Events,” the workshop was conducted at the Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Complex with the aim of enhancing the cultural and managerial competencies of those overseeing public programs and community-based events.

Akram al-Sayyab, the workshop instructor, explained to the Shrine’s Media Center:

“Our focus was on the principles of planning public events, mechanisms for their implementation, evaluation methods, and approaches for media outreach. Additional topics included spatial design, developing the message and concept of events, strategies for audience engagement, fostering interaction, and achieving organizational objectives.”

Al-Sayyab commended the participants for their active engagement and expressed hope that the workshop would contribute meaningfully to improving the quality of future events organized by the shrines and holy sites.

Sayed Ahmad al-Hussaini, Deputy Cultural Director of the Shrine of al-Qasim and son of Imam Musa ibn Jafar (peace be upon him), stated:

“This workshop was designed to enhance the cultural competencies of the cultural departments of the sacred shrines. The three-day program addressed the development of cultural plans and initiatives and the improvement of administrative efficiency within this sector.” He further emphasized that the shrine administrations fully support such developmental initiatives.

This workshop forms part of a broader series of programs implemented by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine to strengthen the managerial and cultural capacities of shrine personnel and to elevate the quality of programs and services offered to pilgrims and the wider community.
