This extensive program was implemented across thirteen Iraqi provinces, with the participation of more than fourteen thousand girls. In honor of this spiritual occasion, the Imam Ali Holy Shrine also presented blessed gifts to all participants.
The Holy Shrine Hosts the Largest Ceremony of Devotion
Coinciding with the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the principal religious maturity ceremony was held in the city of Najaf al-Ashraf, within the sacred courtyard of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) at the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). Approximately three thousand Iraqi girls took part in this central celebration, held as one of the major events of the “Week of Modesty and Virtuous Conduct.”
Ceremonies Held Across Other Provinces of Iraq
On the auspicious occasion of the blessed birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her), and within the broader framework of the activities of the “Week of Modesty and Virtuous Conduct,” the Imam Ali Holy Shrine organized a series of distinguished ceremonies throughout Iraq.
In addition to the main ceremony held at the Holy Shrine in Najaf, thirteen other provinces hosted remarkable celebrations in cooperation with cultural institutions and social organizations.
Across numerous cities—including Basra, Mosul, Baghdad, Amarah, Nasiriyah, Sulaymaniyah, Diwaniyah, Samawah, Wasit, Karbala, Kirkuk, and Diyala—thousands of girls participated in spiritually uplifting and joyous celebrations.
For instance, in the district of al-Dair, more than two thousand participants gathered in an atmosphere marked by joy and spirituality. In Mosul, a ceremony was held with the attendance of five hundred girls.
In Basra, three separate ceremonies were organized, all of which were met with enthusiastic participation.
These diverse and influential events celebrated the beginning of a life of religious responsibility and honored the entry of thousands of veiled girls into a path of devotion and elevated moral values, creating a deeply spiritual and joyful environment for all attendees.
Distribution of Thousands of Blessed Gifts
In marking this significant milestone in the lives of young girls, the Imam Ali Holy Shrine emphasized adherence to the principles of modesty and proper Islamic dress. To reinforce these values, the Shrine presented each participant with honorable and blessed gifts.
Purpose of This Initiative
This initiative, undertaken by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, aims to promote noble moral and religious values among young girls and to strengthen the cultural and spiritual foundations of Iraqi society.
