On numerous occasions, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) emphasized their virtues, underscoring their profound and unique bond with Almighty God and their unparalleled and distinguished role within the Islamic community.
The Decisive Response of the Messenger of God to Aishah’s Boasting over Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her)
Abu al-Qasim Furat al-Kufi (may God have mercy on him) narrates from Abi Muslim al-Khawlani that he said:
“The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) entered upon Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) and Aishah while they were engaged in mutual boasting, and their faces had become flushed. The Prophet inquired about the matter, and they informed him of what had occurred.
Thereupon, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) said to Aishah, “O Aishah, do you not know that God has chosen Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, the family of Imran, and Ali, al-Hasan, al-Hussain, Hamzah, Jafar, Fatimah, and Khadijah (peace be upon her) above all the worlds?”
Adam and Eve Witnessing the Light of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) in Paradise
Mir Sayed Ali al-Hamadani narrates from Abdullah ibn Abbas that the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family) said:
“When God created Adam and Eve (peace be upon them), they took pride in one another in Paradise and said: ‘God has not created any being more beautiful than us.’
While they were in this state, they suddenly beheld the image of a young woman radiating a brilliant light whose brightness dazzled the eyes. Upon her head was a crown, and from her ears hung earrings.
They asked: ‘What is this crown upon her head?’ It was said to them: ‘This is her husband, Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).’
They then asked: ‘What are these earrings?’ It was said: ‘They are al-Hasan and al-Hussain (peace be upon them), her sons.’
And this matter existed in my concealed knowledge two thousand years before I created you.”
The Sacred Essence of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) and an Inner Interpretation of Two Quranic Verses
Muhammad ibn Yaqub al-Kulayni al-Radi (may God have mercy on him) narrates that Imam Musa ibn Jafar al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) stated in part of a narration:
“The meaning of ‘a blessed night’ in Surat al Dukhan, verse 3—‘Indeed, We sent it down on a blessed night; indeed, We were to warn’—refers to Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
As for His saying in Surat al Dukhan, verse 4—‘Therein every wise matter is made distinct’—from that sacred existence every wise decree becomes manifest. God indicates that from the being of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) abundant good emerges, namely the wise man.”
