Imam Ali Holy Shrine Honors University Faculty for Their Contributions to the “My Hijab” Festival

The Imam Ali Holy Shrine honored more than 100 university professors in recognition of their participation in the “My Hijab” Festival, which was held as part of the programs of the Week of Modesty and coincided with the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).

The ceremony was organized by the al-Nathm Center of the Strategic Planning and Development Unit affiliated with the Imam Ali Holy Shrine and was attended by the Custodian of the Holy Shrine, Sayed Isa Al-Khirsan, who welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation for the academic community’s efforts. He emphasized the vital role of university faculty members in ensuring the success of these initiatives, particularly those related to the Week of Modesty.

In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Wissam Iskandar, Head of the al-Nathm Center, stated that this recognition reflects the Shrine’s appreciation of the scientific, cultural, and academic role played by participating professors. He noted that their intellectual and scholarly contributions were instrumental in reinforcing the values of modesty and authentic Islamic identity, as well as in raising social awareness regarding ethical commitment derived from the teachings and conduct of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

For their part, a number of academic representatives expressed their gratitude to the Imam Ali Holy Shrine for organizing this ceremony, affirming that university professors played a significant and effective role in the success of the festival. They also emphasized that the “My Hijab” Festival reflects the strong and growing relationship between the Holy Shrine and academic institutions in particular, and Iraqi society in general, and underscores the Shrine’s commitment to promoting the values of chastity and moral integrity, inspired by the noble conduct of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).

The “My Hijab” Festival is part of a series of programs implemented by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine with the aim of highlighting the chador as a symbolic expression of modesty and dignified Islamic dress, in harmony with the Shrine’s mission to promote and institutionalize Islamic values within society.
