The Imam Ali Holy Shrine Supports Orphans and Disabled People During the “The Born Inside Kaaba” Commemoration Week

As part of its programs marking the week of “The Born Inside Kaaba,” the Imam Ali Holy Shrine is extending support to orphans and persons with disabilities, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility inspired by the legacy of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him).

The Public Relations Department of the Holy Shrine, in the presence of Mr. Haidar Al-Isawi, Member of the Board of Directors, inaugurated a series of social initiatives dedicated to this blessed occasion. These activities aim to promote a culture of communal solidarity, including official visits to care institutions for orphans and children across the Governorate of Najaf Al-Ashraf, accompanied by the presentation of gifts and the provision of both material and moral assistance.

Mr. Karrar Shaker, Head of Internal Relations at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, stated to the Shrine Media Center:

“Through these programs, we sought to ensure that orphaned children benefit from the spiritual blessings of the ‘Birth in the Kaaba’ week. This was achieved through the distribution of gifts and the offer of emotional and spiritual support, in line with the directives of the Holy Shrine’s Administration to provide continuous care for this segment of society.”

He added:

“Among the activities implemented were receiving orphans, persons with disabilities, and individuals with physical impairments, hosting them within the honorable Haidari Courtyard, and organizing dedicated programs at the Muhsin Children’s Cultural Center.”

Mr. Ahmed Mahdi, Director of Al-Raja Institution, expressed his appreciation to the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, praising its continuous efforts and support for children in need and orphaned groups. He described this initiative as a clear manifestation of the spirit of social compassion and a practical expression of human and ethical responsibility.

This initiative is part of a wider set of ongoing programs implemented by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine to embed the values of communal cooperation and strengthen the culture of supporting orphans and persons with disabilities—programs that reflect the humanitarian message inspired by the life, character, and example of Amir Al-Muminin (peace be upon him).
