Special Security Plan of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine on the Occasion of Eid al-Mabath

On the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s mission (peace be upon him and his family), the Imam Ali Holy Shrine has declared a state of full security readiness.

The Security Department of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine held a coordination meeting attended by officials from various departments and units of the Shrine. During the meeting, the special security and organizational plan for the ceremonies marking the blessed occasion of the Prophet’s mission (peace be upon him and his family) was reviewed. The meeting aimed to ensure early preparedness, the highest level of organization, and smooth movement of pilgrims.

Security Plan

In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Mustafa Al-Fatlawi, spokesperson for the Security Department, said:

“During this meeting, full readiness and the mobilization of all security personnel were emphasized. The presence of the Shrine’s security staff has been reinforced, and effective coordination has been established with the Najaf al-Ashraf Police Command and other relevant security agencies to ensure the safety of pilgrims and the smooth flow of their movement.”

Preparation of Entry and Movement Areas for Pilgrims

He added:

“The organizational plan includes preparing all entry and exit points and surrounding areas, including the courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her), to ensure optimal reception of pilgrims. Dedicated routes and movement corridors have also been arranged around the Holy Shrine to regulate pilgrim traffic, prevent overcrowding, and facilitate access to service and worship areas within the Shrine.”

Deployment of Wireless Communications and Pilgrim Guidance Units

Al-Fatlawi explained:

“The plan also includes the deployment of guidance and information units to handle cases of missing persons, as well as the full mobilization of the wireless communications unit. The objective is to ensure continuous coordination among the Shrine’s security personnel and other departments, in addition to maintaining wireless communication with other holy shrines, the Najaf al-Ashraf Police Command, and security agencies.”

Participation of More Than 800 Servants

He noted:

“This plan is being implemented with the participation of more than 800 servants, in a manner befitting the esteemed status of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine and its mission of serving visiting pilgrims in the best possible way.”

These measures are part of the broader service and organizational preparations for the ceremonies commemorating the Prophet’s mission (peace be upon him and his family). Earlier, the Operations Room for Mass Pilgrimages at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine held a meeting chaired by Sayed Isa al-Khirsan, Custodian of the Holy Shrine, with the participation of members of the Board of Directors and officials from the relevant departments.
