Represented by its Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, the Imam Ali Holy Shrine participated in the twentieth edition of the “Spring of Martyrdom” International Book Fair, organized by the Imam al-Hussain Holy Shrine as part of the programs of the International Cultural Festival “Spring of Martyrdom.” The exhibition witnessed wide participation from cultural institutions and both local and international publishing houses.
In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Karrar Hatam, Head of the Permanent Book Exhibition Unit, said:
“This participation comes within the framework of strengthening the cultural presence of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine and providing an opportunity for visitors and researchers to become acquainted with the intellectual and scholarly achievements presented by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs.”
He emphasized the importance of such exhibitions in supporting intellectual activity and in fostering a culture of reading within society.
Hatem added:
“We participated with a dedicated pavilion featuring approximately 286 titles published by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine. These works ranged from Najafi newspapers to specialized publications on the life and thought of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), in addition to a diverse collection of religious, cultural, and intellectual works.”
The International “Spring of Martyrdom” Festival, now in its eighteenth edition, is one of the annual cultural events organized by the Imam al-Hussain Holy Shrine, aiming to support and enrich the cultural and intellectual landscape of society.
