Through its Media Department, the Imam Ali Holy Shrine has finalized preparations for the second edition of the “Art of Imam al-Mahdi” event—recognized as the first Islamic visual arts event of its kind in Iraq. The event will feature international participation by artists from diverse cultures around the world and will be organized in cooperation with the Qaf Art and Media Foundation.
In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Haider Rahim, Head of the Media Department at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, said:
“On the operational level, and in collaboration with the Qaf Art and Media Foundation, we have worked to create a professional and cohesive environment that ensures the highest standards of presentation and participation. At the same time, our focus has been on ensuring that the event carries a contemporary human and intellectual dimension, reflecting the philosophy of ‘anticipation’ as a value rooted in hope and constructive engagement.”
He added:
“The event aims to produce joint artistic and media works inspired by a contemporary, human-centered vision of the concept of the Savior of Humanity. This experience seeks to create a meaningful connection between the spiritual and aesthetic dimensions, while highlighting the position of Najaf al-Ashraf as a center of cultural and artistic illumination, alongside its profound religious stature.”
The Media Department of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, in coordination with all its units and departments, is completing final preparations for this global event, which is scheduled to commence on Tuesday morning at “Sayeda Amina Hall”, located within the Courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).
