Imam Ali Holy Shrine Hosts Female Students from Medical Colleges

The Imam Ali Holy Shrine hosted more than 100 female students from the medical colleges of the University of Baghdad.

The “al-Nathm” Center, affiliated with the Strategic Planning and Development Unit at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, received a delegation comprising over one hundred female students from Baghdad University colleges. This program was held as part of the second collaborative initiative, implemented at the request of the participating medical institution.

Ms. Rania Al-Kabi, representing the “al-Nathm” Center, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:

“This program was designed around three main themes, developed in response to the intellectual and social challenges currently facing medical students.”

She explained:

“The first theme focused on the faith-based dimension, examining the student’s relationship with religious beliefs and the impact of contemporary intellectual developments on their academic journey. The second theme addressed the Mahdawi dimension, held in conjunction with the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his noble reappearance), and sought to clarify the concept of true anticipation based on conscious and humane action.”

Al-Kabi added:

“The third theme addressed ethical and educational aspects, emphasizing the importance of nurturing medical students not only professionally, but also within family and social contexts, as this plays a vital role in shaping an aware family and a cohesive society.”

She further noted that the program extended over two days with the participation of a number of professors. In addition, a pilgrimage visit was arranged, contributing to the enhancement of the participants’ intellectual and spiritual engagement. She stressed that such initiatives play an important role in shaping personalities that harmonize knowledge with values and strengthen the participants’ human role in serving society.

It is worth noting that the Imam Ali Holy Shrine continues to design and implement awareness-oriented and cultural programs for various segments of society—particularly Iraqi universities—within its broader mission to help build a conscious community committed to the teachings and path of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
