Affiliated with the Alawi Educational Authority at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the al-Muhsin Children’s Cultural Center had a prominent presence at the fourth edition of the festival, held at the Baghdad International Fair. The pavilion received wide acclaim from children, families, and visitors.
As part of its cultural and educational mission, the Center established a dedicated children’s pavilion offering a diverse range of educational and cultural activities. Owing to its rich programming, the al-Muhsin Center’s pavilion became one of the most visited sections of the festival.
In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Shubbar Al-Tabatabaei, Head of Activities at the al-Muhsin Center, said:
“This year’s participation featured a variety of cultural and educational programs designed specifically for children. The pavilion hosted displays and sales of a collection of children’s works, periodicals, and specialized publications, which were met with notable interest from families.”
He added:
“The participation also included several interactive programs, foremost among them a puppet theater performance held daily for approximately two hours throughout the festival. These performances provided joyful, educational content tailored to different age groups. In addition, a new initiative was introduced for the first time this year: interactive movement-based games, designed to integrate learning with entertainment and to convey educational values in a dynamic and engaging environment.”
Throughout the festival, the al-Muhsin Center’s pavilion was marked by an atmosphere of vitality, joy, and enthusiasm—clearly reflected in the faces of children and their families. The strong turnout and positive response to the Center’s programs and publications underscore the success of this participation in creating an impactful cultural and educational environment, and highlight the effective role of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine in the field of child-centered cultural development.
