Conclusion of the Visual Arts Exhibition at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine

The closing ceremony of the International Visual Arts Exhibition “The Art of Anticipation” was held at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine.

With the support of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the first Islamic visual arts event entitled “The Art of Anticipation”—organized in cooperation with the Qaf Art and Media Foundation and featuring the participation of more than 65 artists from 14 countries—concluded its activities. The event marked a rare international artistic gathering and was held in Iraq for the first time.

The ceremony was attended by the Custodian of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, Sayed Isa Al-Khirsan, who inaugurated the exhibition of the participating artists’ works, hosted in the Lady Amina Hall within the Courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).

In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Jafar Al-Bdiri, Executive Director and Deputy Head of the Media Department, said:

“During the closing ceremony, welcoming messages were delivered on behalf of the Custodianship by the Head of the Media Department. These messages expressed appreciation to the attendees, emphasized the success of the event and the realization of its global message within this international forum, and honored the participating artists.”

He added:

“The event concluded with the official opening of the exhibition by the Custodian of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine. The exhibition features approximately 100 artworks, including paintings, decorative works, motifs, digital designs, manuscripts, and sculptural pieces. The participating artists were also honored, and it was decided that these works would be displayed to the public throughout the holy month of Ramadan at the permanent exhibition of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine in the Courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).”

The closing ceremony also included honoring the artists who played a role in the success of the exhibition. Statements delivered by the participating artists reflected their satisfaction and pride in the high artistic standard of the event and its broad international participation.
