The Imam Ali Holy Shrine Concludes its Quranic Gatherings and Celebrations in Kirkuk and Diyala

Within the framework of the International Sadiqain Week, held in commemoration of the blessed births of the Noble Prophet Muhammad and his grandson Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, the Imam Ali Holy Shrine—through its Dar al-Quran al-Karim, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs—organized a series of intellectual and theological lectures, Quranic gatherings, and religious anthems across several provinces of Iraq.

Within the framework of the International (Two Sadiqs) Week, held in commemoration of the anniversary of the blessed births of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his grandson Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), the Imam Ali Holy Shrine—through its Quran Center, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs—organized a series of intellectual and theological lectures, Quranic gatherings, and religious anthems across several provinces of Iraq.

 

Ammar al-Mousawi, representative of the Quran Center of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, told the Shrine’s News Center:

“Our activities reached their final stage in the provinces of Kirkuk and Diyala. These programs were held in cooperation with the different administrations in the districts of Daquq and al Khalis.
The gatherings were attended by students from local Quranic institutes and included a lecture by Shaikh Muhammad Fakhruddin on ‘Religious Authority and the Preservation of Islamic Identity: From the Mission of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) to the School of Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).’ The event also featured Quran recitations and the performance of religious anthems in celebration of this blessed birth.”

 

A Nationwide Program

Ammar al-Mousawi:

“This series of programs, within the framework of the Fourth International Festival of (Two Sadiqs) Week, extended to the provinces of Basra, Thi-Qar, Baghdad, Kirkuk, and Diyala. They were enriched by the participation of memorizers, reciters, poets, and students of Quranic institutes.”

It is noteworthy that the International (Two Sadiqs) Week was held in the main courtyard of the sacred Imam Ali holy shrine as well as the courtyard of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra from the 6th to the 10th of September. The program included cultural, educational, and intellectual activities; celebratory gatherings; and the inauguration of several service projects, as well as ceremonies marking the commencement of other developmental initiatives.
