Al-Qaseem Industrial Mill: A Strategic Arm of Imam Ali Holy Shrine for Iraq’s Food Supply

The Al-Qaseem Industrial Mill, operated by the “Faydh Al-Qaseem” Company affiliated with the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, plays a pivotal role in supporting Iraq’s national food provision. Through its consistent production of flour for the Ministry of Trade, the mill has become a cornerstone of the national food ration program. Experts from the ministry affirm that its flour ranks among the highest quality available in the market.

Daily Production Capacity of 200 Tons

Salam Al-Jaberi, Director of the Mill, told the Shrine’s News Center:

“The Al-Qaseem Mill stands as one of the Shrine’s most distinguished service projects. With a production capacity of 200 tons per day, it operates across six floors with a fully integrated electronic system, managed by specialized engineering and technical staff alongside the Shrine’s workforce. The factory also produces premium bran, making it a vital supplier not only for food production but also for livestock feed.”

Manufacturing Stages

Engineer Hussein Sharbah, Production Manager, explained:

“Our process begins with wheat supplied from state silos. The grain undergoes rigorous cleaning to remove impurities, followed by controlled hydration and preparation before entering sequential grinding stages. The finished flour is then stored in dedicated silos and delivered through the Shrine’s fleet to authorized food distribution agents across Najaf and neighboring districts.”

Shrine Projects Contribute by Serving Society

Through initiatives like the Al-Qaseem Mill, the Imam Ali Holy Shrine continues to strengthen community welfare by providing high-quality essential food supplies under the national ration program, ensuring they reach the families most in need.
