As part of efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and exchange technical expertise between the holy shrines, the Holy Alawi Shrine organised a specialized training course to boost the skills of Holy Kadhimiyya Shrine personnel in maintaining and repairing X-ray inspection devices and troubleshooting them — a move that plays a big role in improving the efficiency of security systems.
Mohammad Qabel Abdul Zaid, head of the Quality and Development Unit at the Holy Alawi Shrine’s IT Centre, told the shrine’s news center:
“This training course was delivered by experts from the X-ray inspection device maintenance unit, which falls under the Repairs Department, in coordination with the Quality and Development Unit, as part of the technical cooperation and experience-sharing between the holy shrines.”
He added:
“The course covered both theoretical topics and hands-on practical training, focusing on routine and preventive maintenance, methods for identifying technical faults, and ways to fix them — so that technical staff can operate security inspection equipment at the highest level of efficiency.”
Boosting Technical and Security Readiness
He stressed:
“This programme was designed to enhance the capabilities of technical staff and increase the readiness of X-ray inspection devices, to ensure these systems keep functioning properly and maintain their high accuracy in supporting security measures and serving pilgrims.”
The head of the Quality and Development Unit also noted:
“This initiative is a sign of synergy and organisational cooperation between the holy shrines, and reflects their commitment to knowledge-sharing, transfer of experience, and human resource development — which in turn helps raise the standard of security and technical services provided to pilgrims and drives ongoing improvement across various service sectors.”
