Academic, intellectual, and official delegations arrived in the city of Najaf to take part in the grand ceremony announcing the “Millennium of the Hawza” project, held under the sponsorship and hosting of Iraq’s holy shrines.
The participating delegations were welcomed by staff from the religious affairs and public relations departments, along with representatives of the ceremony’s organizing committee. The reception took place in an atmosphere reflecting the significance of the occasion and evoking Najaf’s centuries-old scholarly and intellectual heritage.
The organizing committee had earlier announced the completion of logistical and media preparations for the ceremony and for documenting the thousand-year journey of the Najaf Hawza — a seminary that, over the course of this millennium, has produced a valuable scholarly and intellectual legacy.
