The Women’s Media Unit of the Holy Alawi Shrine concluded the second edition of the “Aqilah Special Program” today, Tuesday, with a closing ceremony at the Faculties of Jurisprudence and Basic Education at the University of Kufa, with the participation of the university’s female students.
The head of the Women’s Media Unit, Isra al-Tamimi, stated that the scope of the second edition’s activities had expanded to include several faculties of the University of Kufa as well as al-Furat al-Awsat Technical University. She added that new interactive and artistic segments had been introduced to diversify the ways cultural content is presented and to increase the participation of female students.
She went on to say:
“The program was held over two days on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lady Zaynab al-Kubra (peace be upon her), and included cultural, artistic, and discussion-based segments. These included a dramatic monologue, the “One Number, One Message” contest, and the “Zaynab in My Field of Specialization” segment, in which ways of drawing inspiration from the values rooted in the life of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) and linking them to present-day realities were explored.”
The “Aqilah Special Program” is held within the framework of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s programs, which aim to explain the values rooted in the life of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) within the university environment and to link these values to concepts of awareness, responsibility, and taking a stand.
