The Visitors’ Guesthouse Department of the Alawi Holy Shrine initiated its iftar campaign in Iraqi provinces, with its first station in Diwaniyah Province. The campaign was carried out in cooperation with institutions, mosques, and Hussainiyas. Concurrently, within the framework of a comprehensive program, livelihood aid packages were distributed to low-income families.
The objective of this initiative is to support needy families during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The head of the Visitors’ Guesthouse Department, Atheer al-Tamimi, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:
“Upon the directives of the Deputy Custodians of the Alawi Holy Shrine, this campaign was launched, and its first phase was implemented in Diwaniyah Province.”
He added,
“Alongside the organization of iftar programs for visitors, a plan for the distribution of livelihood aid packages to low-income families in various provinces is being carried out in coordination with the departments of the Alawi Holy Shrine and cooperating institutions.”
Hasan al-Tamimi, the official in charge of the banquet campaign in Diwaniyah Province, stated:
“The program of the Visitors’ Guesthouse Department included organizing an iftar banquet in Diwaniyah Province, in the Afak district, and distributing Ramadan livelihood packages to low-income families residing in remote areas. During this phase, the department distributed 1,500 livelihood packages.
This blessed campaign represents a continuation of the path of service and sustained generosity pursued by the Alawi Holy Shrine in serving the community. Its blessed tables are not confined to the provinces; rather, they are also held daily and weekly in the vicinity of the shrine of Amir al-Muminin throughout the days of the blessed month of Ramadan.
