Project Director, Engineer Ali Hussain al-Saffar, stated to Shrin’s News Center:

“The current completion rate of the project has reached about 65 percent. The remaining phases are being carried out daily on an intensive schedule of 10 to 12 working hours. These operations are conducted through the combined efforts of the Shrine’s personnel in coordination with international teams, under the direct supervision of the concerned department, to ensure full compliance with approved technical standards.”

He added that the project includes extensive green landscapes, newly designed pedestrian pathways, and service facilities such as restrooms, control rooms, and security units.

The overarching goal of this initiative is to provide a fully developed recreational and green environment for the residents of Najaf. To this end, plans include large-scale tree planting, designated rest areas, children’s playgrounds, sports fields for various disciplines, and specialized walking tracks.
