The Holy Alawi Shrine hosted the Governor of Najaf al-Ashraf, Engineer Yousef Kanawi, along with a group of senior officials from several state institutions and departments.
During the field visit, the delegation toured the “al-Nathm” Center of the Strategic Planning Unit, the Information Technology Center, and the Media Department. The visit was attended by Ehsan al-Ta’i, Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, and Mustafa Mani, a member of the Shrine’s Board of Directors.
Haidar Rahim, Head of the Media Department of the Holy Alawi Shrine, speaking to the Shrine’s news center about the visit, stated:
“This visit was carried out within the framework of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s approach to expanding engagement with various government institutions and departments in Najaf al-Ashraf and other Iraqi provinces. During the program, the visiting delegation was introduced to the most important technologies and systems used in managing services provided to pilgrims of the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), special preparations for mass pilgrimages, and the coordination and synergy mechanisms among support departments aimed at ensuring the continuity of services and providing the best possible care to pilgrims.”
He added:
“During the visit, the delegation members received detailed explanations regarding the nature of the work carried out by the various departments and their role in supporting the Holy Alawi Shrine’s operational programs during pilgrimage seasons. They were also introduced to the methods used in implementing approved programs for covering religious occasions and managing media activities, in proportion to the scale of the ceremonies and services that the Holy Alawi Shrine provides to its pilgrims.”
The visit was carried out as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Holy Alawi Shrine and the government service institutions of Najaf al-Ashraf, with the aim of exchanging experience and knowledge, developing joint cooperation mechanisms, and enhancing the level of services provided to the pilgrims and guests of the holy city.
