The al-Mohsen Children’s Cultural Center, affiliated with the Department of Education at Imam Ali Holy Shrine concluded its participation in the 26th Baghdad International Book Fair. The center focused on enriching children’s cultural awareness and nurturing their talents through a diverse range of activities.
More than 200 Scientific Experiments
Shubbar al-Tabatabai, head of the Field Activities Unit of the Mohsen Center, explained in an interview with Shrine’s News Center:
“Our activities included distributing more than 100 educational games to children who successfully completed specific competition stages. In addition, we conducted over 200 scientific experiments under the “Faheem Laboratory” initiative, which combined interactive demonstrations in physics, chemistry, and biology.”

He added: “The center also distributed approximately 200–300 copies of the Faheem Laboratory book.
Scientific Training Workshops
Al-Tabatabai further explained: “The program included a specialized workshop in digital design using the Cintiq device, which attracted the participation of more than 200 teenagers. In addition, hands-on training sessions in cartoon drawing were offered under the supervision of a professional designer from the center.”
It is worth noting that Imam Ali Holy Shrine maintained an active presence at the Baghdad International Book Fair through its various departments, including Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, Media, Information Technology, Public Relations, Engineering and Construction, along with other supporting divisions.
