Installation of Directional Signage for Arbaeen Pilgrims by the Holy Alawi Shrine

The Holy Alawi Shrine is expanding its services by printing 3,000 meters of directional signs and 150,000 special guide booklets for pilgrims

The Printing and Publishing Department of “Dar Abi Talib,” affiliated with the Investment Board of the Holy Alawi Shrine, is continuing to implement a comprehensive program to print everything needed for these blessed days, as part of the preparations to welcome pilgrims of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him). The aim is to better organize pilgrim movement and provide educational materials.

Amer Khalaf Rahim, head of the Printing Production Unit at “Dar Abi Talib” Publishing, told the Holy Alawi Shrine’s News Center:

“We’ve started printing stickers and directional signs for the routes leading to holy Karbala and the Holy Shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), both inside and outside the old city fabric.”

He added:

“The total length of printed and currently being printed directional signs has exceeded 3,000 meters. Once ready, they’ll be handed over to the ‘al-Nathm’ Center — the strategic planning and development unit — along with the Pilgrim Guidance Department, other departments of the Holy Shrine, and the Hussaini processions based in Najaf Al-Ashraf and surrounding areas.”

He also said:

“The Dar Abi Talib department is continuing to print booklets on rulings of purity (tahara) and ziyarat in three languages — Arabic, English, and Persian. In total, 150,000 copies will be distributed among pilgrims during Arbaeen, to meet the needs of pilgrims from different nationalities.”

He went on to mention other activities of the department: “Printing 1,500 numbered ID cards for volunteers taking part in serving pilgrims is also our responsibility — this helps organize field activities and makes it easier for everyone to carry out their duties.”

He stressed that the staff at “Dar Abi Talib” are carrying on with a strong sense of responsibility, putting in more than 12 hours a day to make sure all printing orders are completed on time. He praised their commitment and sincerity, noting that many of them stay on even after official working hours to finish the planned programs for Arbaeen and serve the pilgrims of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him).

It’s worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine, by mobilizing all its departments, is striving to provide the best possible services to the pilgrims of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him) — pilgrims who make the Holy Shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) in Najaf Al-Ashraf their main departure point for the journey to holy Karbala to take part in the magnificent Arbaeen ceremony.
