The Pilgrims’ Guesthouse Department of the Holy Alawi Shrine, starting from the 7th of Safar as part of its early planning to serve Arbaeen pilgrims, has begun distributing blessed food among the pilgrims of the Arbaeen of Aba Abdillah al-Hussain (peace be upon him), who visit the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) and then set out toward Karbala.
Athir al-Tamimi, head of the Pilgrims’ Guesthouse Department of the Holy Alawi Shrine, said in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:
“In parallel with the early arrival of millions of pilgrims at the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), hospitality services for them have begun through the main entrance of the central guesthouse complex, adjacent to the Courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).
Also, coinciding with the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Generous One of Ahl al-Bayt, Imam Hasan (peace be upon him), a table of Alawi generosity has been prepared for the pilgrims.”
He added:
“By order of the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, dozens of service, hospitality, and rest centers for Arbaeen pilgrims have begun operating since the very first days of their activity.
These centers include stations around the holy Haidariyyah Courtyard, locations along the routes leading to the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) in the old quarter of Najaf al-Ashraf, as well as hospitality stations along the Arbaeen walking route — the path through which millions of pilgrims pass on their way from Najaf al-Ashraf to Karbala al-Mu’alla.”
It is worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine, by deploying all of its capacities and departments, is participating in serving the pilgrims of the Arbaeen of Aba Abdillah al-Hussain (peace be upon him) — pilgrims who choose the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) in Najaf al-Ashraf as one of the main stations on their route toward Karbala al-Mu’alla for the Arbaeen walk.
