The Electronic Displays Unit, part of the shrine’s Media Department, has launched a comprehensive plan to overhaul, repair, and update the systems ahead of the Arbaeen of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him). The aim is to provide information, streamline operations, and serve the millions of pilgrims.
Abdul-Mahdi Hasan, head of the Electronic Displays Unit, told the Shrine’s News Centre:
“We’ve been at this for a while now — refurbishing, repairing, repositioning, and reinstalling electronic screens at strategic points that align with the pilgrims’ routes.”
He added:
“All of this is based on a pre-designed media and technical plan to make sure the display system is fully ready for Arbaeen.”
Guidance Messages for Pilgrims
Going into more detail, he said:
“The plan covers prepping, restarting, and operating the screens so we can broadcast educational content, directional guidance, and religious pointers specifically for the Arbaeen visit. On top of supporting operational and security arrangements, this helps steer pilgrims and highlight the spiritual significance of this great occasion.”
Service Programs
He stressed:
“The unit is pushing ahead with its technical and media efforts to develop a comprehensive electronic display system — one that serves pilgrims, reinforces the spiritual, media, and operational dimensions, and backs the shrine’s service and organizational programs for welcoming Arbaeen visitors.”
It’s worth noting that these measures are part of the Holy Shrine’s broader service and operational plans leading up to Arbaeen of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him), all aimed at delivering the best possible services, managing the flow of pilgrims, and properly handling the millions-strong turnout of the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) for this momentous occasion.
