The Information Technology Center of the Holy Alawi Shrine has launched its dedicated program for the days of Arbaeen, aimed at supporting the services provided to pilgrims, ensuring smooth movement, and strengthening security and management measures through an integrated virtual services system.
Mohammad Kashkoul, deputy head of the center, told the Shrine’s News Center:
“As part of this program, free internet services have been made available around the sacred Alawi shrine through 80 distribution points, allowing around 5,000 pilgrims to be connected simultaneously. In addition, mobile phone repair services are offered at Pillar 96, and pilgrims are also able to make free domestic and international calls.”
He added:
“Through a system comprising more than 5,000 surveillance cameras installed within and around the sacred Alawi shrine, this center ensures security and manages the movement of pilgrim crowds. It also provides the necessary technical and equipment support to the al-Nathm Center for crowd management purposes. In addition, a comprehensive electronic system for guiding lost pilgrims has been launched in coordination with the holy shrines of al-Hussain and al-Abbas (peace be upon them).”
He continued:
“This program also includes equipping audio systems around the sacred Alawi shrine and the courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) to broadcast devotional programs. Beyond broadcasting these programs, these systems are also used to announce the descriptions of lost pilgrims and assist in reuniting them with their families.”
It is worth noting that, as part of its technological program to serve pilgrims visiting the sacred shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) during the days of the al-Hussaini Arbaeen, the Holy Alawi Shrine has launched the “Wafid” application, offering a range of diverse electronic services, and alongside it, holds numerous religious competitions aimed at raising the religious and cultural awareness of pilgrims.
