The Women’s Affairs Department of the Holy Alawi Shrine continues to successfully implement its program for organizing and managing the movement of women pilgrims at the sacred shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him). Through the designation of special routes for entry and exit, this program has played an effective role in ensuring smooth movement and safeguarding the safety of women pilgrims during the days of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
Ramlah al-Khuzai, head of the Women’s Affairs Department, told the Shrine’s News Center:
“In coordination with supporting bodies and under the continuous supervision of the custodianship of the Holy Alawi Shrine, this department has designated organized, pre-planned routes for guiding and moving groups of women pilgrims within the shrine. This measure, while making it easier for pilgrims to access the sacred shrine, has also prevented congestion arising from the millions-strong presence of pilgrims, and, through the deployment of specialized women’s personnel for guidance and crowd organization, has ensured that pilgrims receive services of the highest standard.”
She added:
“The implementation of this program has led to smoother movement of pilgrims within the sacred shrine and the courtyard of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and has also brought order to the entry and exit of pilgrims through the main gates and the streets leading to the sacred Haydari courtyard. This success reflects the extensive efforts of the Shrine’s women servants across all branches and units of this department.”
It is worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine, by deploying the full capacities of its various departments, remains at the service of pilgrims who have made the sacred shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) the main waypoint on their journey toward holy Karbala to take part in the magnificent ceremonies of the Husseini Arbaeen.
