The Holy Alawi Shrine, through its Investment Board, has launched a special service program for the production and distribution of bread. This initiative is carried out to support al-Hussaini Mawakib and service centers, ensuring the best possible services for pilgrims who, after visiting the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), continue on toward holy Karbala.
Abdullah Yahya, head of the bakery and flour products factory, told the Holy Alawi Shrine News Center:
“Coinciding with the launch of the special Arbaeen program, the factory has increased its production capacity to meet the needs of the al-Hussaini Mawakib actively serving pilgrims.”
He added:
“More than 130,000 loaves of bread are produced daily at this factory, consuming approximately 6 tons of flour. This output is distributed among Mawakib affiliated with the Holy Alawi Shrine, as well as a number of other al-Hussaini Mawakib, playing an important role in supporting the services provided to pilgrims.”
He further noted:
“This factory is equipped with the latest production lines and industrial bakery equipment, enabling the production of large volumes of bread at the desired quality. This capacity has been employed as part of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s service program to provide the best possible services to the pilgrims of al-Hussaini Arbaeen.”
It is worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine has mobilized all the capacities and resources of its various departments to serve the pilgrims of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him)—pilgrims who choose the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) in Najaf al-Ashraf as one of the most important spiritual stations before setting out toward holy Karbala to observe the days of Arbaeen.
