The Services Department of the Holy Alawi Shrine, by launching centers for the safekeeping of deposited belongings, has provided a means for pilgrims to secure their personal items while facilitating smoother movement within the Holy Alawi Shrine.
Maytham Kashoush, head of the Amanat Unit, told the Shrine’s News Center:
“Coinciding with the beginning of the massive wave of arriving pilgrims, 42 main amanat centers were launched. Together, these centers have a total capacity of more than 15,000 lockers—the main centers hold a capacity of 8,825 lockers, while the auxiliary centers hold a capacity of 7,140 lockers, ensuring the service can meet the growing number of pilgrims.”
He added:
“The process of depositing and retrieving belongings is carried out through a precise system. For each locker, a special identification card is issued, recording information such as the pilgrim’s name, the locker’s storage number, and the date of deposit; this mechanism ensures the swift and easy retrieval of deposited items.”
It is worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine began implementing its comprehensive service program from the first day of the month of Muharram, and this program will continue through the end of the month of Safar, in order to provide the best possible services to the millions of pilgrims journeying to visit Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him) during the days of Arbaeen.
