Hosted by the Holy Alawi Shrine, the first meeting of the Media Coordination Committee of the Holy Shrines was convened to coordinate the media activities related to the “Millennium of the Najaf Seminary” project.
The meeting examined and discussed the mechanisms for translating the perspectives approved by the Supreme Committee for Coordination among the Holy Shrines into joint media programs and plans, commensurate with the scholarly and religious dimensions and standing of the project.
Jafar al-Badiri, Deputy Head of the Media Department of the Holy Alawi Shrine, told the News Center:
“The meeting put forward numerous views and proposals aimed at fostering coordination and synergy among the media institutions affiliated with the holy shrines and complementing their roles. Among these proposals were the establishment of a media operations room to coordinate the events and media campaigns related to the project, efforts to unify the media discourse and visual identity, and the exchange of experiences and the use of technical and media capacities.”
These measures are being undertaken to strengthen institutional coordination and unify the media message of the holy shrines. They help highlight the standing of the religious authority and the Najaf al-Ashraf Seminary, clarify the role of the holy shrines in supporting and backing the project, and convey its message to different segments of society.
