Environmental Initiatives of Fadak Plant Nursery at the Holy Alawi Shrine

Fadak Nursery, a project by the Holy Shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), continues its environmental mission to serve the citizens of Najaf by expanding green spaces and providing agricultural expertise.

Affiliated with the Investment Board of the Holy Alawi Shrine, Fadak Nursery and Exhibition is intensifying its environmental efforts. These initiatives aim to increase green zones, provide top-tier services to residents, and meet the ecological needs of the Najaf Al-Ashraf province.

Ahmed al-Adnan, a representative of Fadak Nursery, stated to the shrine’s News Center:

“This nursery is considered a vital project as it contributes to improving the city’s environmental and agricultural landscape by offering a wide variety of plants and integrated services. The collection includes various flowers and trees, including rare species, plants produced in the central nursery, fruit and citrus trees, as well as imported varieties.”

He added:

“The nursery employs a specialized team expert in garden landscaping and the design of modern irrigation systems. Furthermore, we provide comprehensive services in fertilization and pest control based on scientific methods, ensuring high-quality service that keeps pace with environmental development needs.”

It is noteworthy that the Holy Shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) has implemented numerous environmental initiatives to expand green areas. These include planting thousands of seedlings in schools, main streets, and universities, aimed at fostering environmental awareness, improving public services, and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the province. These efforts are dedicated to environmental preservation and community service.
