The Director of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s Media Department announced that, through the implementation of a comprehensive media program, the department provided round-the-clock coverage of the magnificent Arbaeen ceremonies via a field-based media network.
This program was carried out with the aim of recording and documenting every component of the service, security, medical, and operational plan carried out under the supervision of the Operations Room. Transportation, hospitality, and accommodation services, along with the Quranic and devotional programs offered by the Shrine’s various departments, were also covered in full.
Haidar Rahim, speaking to the Shrine’s News Center, stated:
“This year’s media program was expanded compared to previous years and was carried out along four main axes. Field coverage began on the Basra–Karbala route and continued through the provinces of Dhi Qar, al-Muthanna, al-Diwaniyah, and Babil. Another axis covered the Baghdad–Diyala–al-Munthiriyah route to the holy city of Karbala. In addition, live broadcasts were conducted from pilgrim rest stations along the walking route as well as from the main headquarters based at the Holy Alawi Shrine.”
He added:
“This breadth of media coverage made it possible to convey moment-by-moment developments in the pilgrimage from various service locations and pilgrim transit routes. The production of documentary programs, interstitial segments, and digital content tailored for social media was also on the agenda. At the same time, the News Center’s correspondents, editors, cameramen, and photographers, through their presence in the field, continuously recorded and published the details of the ceremonies and the shrine’s service and humanitarian efforts.”
The Director of the Media Department further stated that the department’s Media Relations Unit hosted dozens of representatives from television networks, news agencies, and media institutions, as well as a large number of photographers, content producers, and representatives of international media outlets, providing them with all necessary facilities and resources — an effort that extended the media coverage of the days of Arbaeen across both domestic and international media.
It is worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine’s media activities during the days of Arbaeen were carried out as part of an exceptional, round-the-clock program, with full coordination among the shrine’s various departments. These efforts played a significant role in conveying an accurate picture of the scope of services provided to millions of pilgrims, and showcased the readiness, dedication, and self-sacrifice of the shrine’s servants in attending to pilgrims during this momentous occasion.
