The Committee for Supporting the Husseini Mawakib at the Holy Alawi Shrine, on the eve of the approaching anniversary of the martyrdom of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), has begun its efforts and preparations to mark this occasion. This support is being extended to the Husseini Mawakib in the old quarter of the city of Najaf, around the sacred shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), and along Imam Ali Street.
Ahmad Najm al-Rikabi, head of the Committee for Supporting the Husseini Mawakib, told the Shrine’s News Center:
“The first phase of the support plan prepared to meet the needs of the Mawakib and serve pilgrims covers approximately 250 Husseini Mawakib, and includes the distribution of various food supplies, drinking water, and ice.”
The Holy Alawi Shrine is also preparing to welcome pilgrims who will come to the city on the 28th of Safar to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of the revered Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him and his family).
