Alongside the celebration of the birth of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), the al-Nathm Center of the Strategic Planning and Development Unit at the Holy Alawi Shrine held a ceremony to honor the top-performing students among the children of Amir al-Muminin’s (peace be upon him) servants, at the conclusion of their respective school levels. The ceremony was held in the Lady Aminah (peace be upon her) Hall in the courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her), with the Assistant Director of the Custodianship and a number of board members in attendance.
The ceremony opened with the recitation of verses from the Noble Qur’an. Mustafa Muni, a member of the board, then spoke, emphasizing the Deputy Custodian’s commitment to supporting and encouraging distinguished students among the children of the Shrine’s servants. He described this initiative as a means of recognizing their academic achievements and inspiring them to continue on the path of success and academic excellence.
Wisam Iskandar, head of the al-Nathm Center of the Strategic Planning and Development Unit, also stated:
“This ceremony was held by order of the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, coinciding with the anniversary of the birth of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and his esteemed grandson, Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).”
He added:
“At this ceremony, gifts were presented to the distinguished students, numbering more than 225 from various schools throughout the city of Najaf. This initiative was carried out to recognize their efforts in the pursuit of knowledge and to encourage them to continue their academic success and progress.”
The parents and families of the students also expressed their gratitude to the Holy Alawi Shrine for its attention and support toward the children of Amir al-Muminin’s (peace be upon him) servants, emphasizing the importance of such programs in motivating students to continue on the path of academic success.
This honoring ceremony was held as part of the programs of the fifth International Two Sadiqs Week. The first phase of this initiative was dedicated to honoring distinguished graduating students, both boys and girls, at the elementary level, with a further ceremony to be held honoring students at the secondary level. These efforts reflect the Holy Alawi Shrine’s approach of supporting and paying close attention to this group and backing their academic path.
