The Holy Alawi Shrine’s Darul Quran took part in the 15th edition of the “Safir” National Competitions in the field of Holy Quran memorization and recitation, held in 2026 by the Custodianship of the Grand Mosque of Kufa, affiliated with the Department of Religious Affairs.
The head of Darul Quran, Alaa Mohsen, told the News Center:
“A number of memorizers and reciters of the Holy Quran from various institutions and bodies took part in these competitions, and Mohammed Mustafa Qattad al-Husseini, a reciter and muezzin of the Holy Alawi Shrine, representing the Shrine’s Darul Quran, succeeded in winning third place in these competitions.”
This participation was part of the ongoing efforts of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s Darul Quran to support Quranic talent, encourage reciters, and strengthen its presence in national Quran competitions.
