The Imam al-Hasan (peace be upon him) Village for Skills Development, affiliated with the al-Nathm Center of the Strategic Planning and Development Unit at the Holy Alawi Shrine, held the first level of its strategic program, titled the “Alawi Institute.” It was attended by 25 members of the “Those Given Glad Tidings” cultural group from Basra Province.
The program included specialized lectures, skills workshops, discussion-based sessions, cultural programs, and visits to holy sites.
Strengthening the Capabilities of Young People
Muhammad al-Hussain Muqbil, a member of the executive team for skills development at the Imam al-Hasan (peace be upon him) Village, told the news center:
“With the support of the Holy Alawi Shrine, this program hosted the second group of participants from the ‘Those Given Glad Tidings’ cultural group of Basra Province. The course, attended by 25 participants, lasted three days. Its aim was to enhance the capabilities of young people and to strengthen their connection with the Holy Alawi Shrine and religious institutions.”
Specialized Workshops
He explained that the program included lectures and training workshops on topics such as group management, media misinformation, and time management. In addition, a discussion-based session titled “Cultural Identity” was held in the afternoon, presented by one of the seminary professors.
He added that, besides these components, the program also included recreational activities and religious visits to the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) and to the Kufa and Sahla mosques, all organized within the framework of its cultural and educational activities.
A Comprehensive Educational Program
He further stated that participants are selected from among active youth groups and cultural organizations across the various provinces of Iraq. These groups submit their applications to the Institute, and the selected individuals are then invited to the Imam al-Hasan (peace be upon him) Village.
He noted that the Holy Alawi Shrine provides all of the participants’ facilities and needs, including accommodation and meals, and that visits to holy sites are also arranged for them throughout the course.
It is worth noting that the “Alawi Institute” program is held within the framework of the educational activities of the Imam al-Hasan (peace be upon him) Village for Skills Development.
The program aims to host youth groups and cultural organizations from different provinces of Iraq and to offer courses focused on managerial, media, cultural, and educational topics.
