A Specialized Workshop on Medical Innovation and AI
Dr. Noufil Al-Dujaili, Director of the Ameen Research Center, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:
“With the support of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, this specialized medical workshop was held in the al-Nathm Hall of the Strategic Planning and Development Unit. It addressed key themes such as the organization and analysis of biomedical data, the detection of microscopic organisms, and the diagnosis of various diseases.”
He added that artificial intelligence has become one of the fundamental pillars in the development of modern healthcare systems, contributing significantly to the enhancement of medical services and the precision of clinical diagnosis.
Enhancing Iraq’s Medical Capabilities
Dr. Osama Abdul-Hassan, Head of Scientific Activities at Al-Kafeel Super Specialty Hospital, explained:
“In the blessed vicinity of the Shrine of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), we held a workshop on the practical applications of artificial intelligence in the medical field, presented by Dr. Ammar Al-Mousawi from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.”
He added:
“The goal of this program was to enhance the skills and medical capabilities within Iraq and to highlight the importance of adopting artificial intelligence in healthcare delivery. The discussions emphasized the need for investment in medical education and research to keep pace with the rapid technological advancements in global medicine.”
