Coinciding with the activities organized for “The Born Inside Kaaba,” the Ladies’ Library Unit, affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, held a dedicated intellectual gathering attended by female university students from academic institutions in the holy city of Najaf.
The forum, titled “Ali: The Voice of Justice and Reason—Enduring Values in a Changing World,” aimed to enhance intellectual awareness and reinforce moral and value-based foundations within the university environment.
Ms. Sarah Hammoudi, Head of the Ladies’ Library, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:
“This forum seeks to emphasize the importance of drawing inspiration from the life and example of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), as an eternal model of justice, human virtues, and enlightened leadership. The program endeavors to instill these fundamental values among students in a manner aligned with the contemporary needs of society.”
She added:
“The themes of this gathering focused on exploring the intellectual and ethical dimensions of the personality of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) and his role in shaping both individuals and communities. Efforts were made to demonstrate the practical link between authentic Islamic values and contemporary societal challenges.”
Highlighting the active participation of attendees, Hammoudi noted:
“The forum was met with strong engagement from the students, whose contributions and viewpoints significantly enriched the discussions and strengthened the spirit of intellectual dialogue.”
This program was organized within the broader cultural initiatives of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine in commemoration of “The Born Inside Kaaba,” a series of activities dedicated to reviving major religious occasions and promoting the culture and teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) across all segments of society.
