The staff of the Decoration Unit at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine have begun their special activities in preparation for the anniversary of the mission of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). As part of these efforts, the Holy Shrine will be adorned with natural flowers.
In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Mr. Qusay Muslim, Head of the Decoration Unit, said:
“These efforts include decorating the sacred mausoleum of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), with approximately 20,000 fresh flower stems, in addition to adorning the Golden Iwan of the Holy Shrine, so as to bestow a distinctive spiritual atmosphere upon this sacred site on this blessed occasion.”
He added:
“Furthermore, the sacred shrine of Muslim ibn Aqil (peace be upon him) has been decorated with approximately 9,000 flower stems. In addition, the Quranic gathering scheduled to be held in the main Alawi Courtyard has been adorned with 9,000 flower stems as well. These activities are carried out within the framework of a comprehensive plan aimed at presenting the Imam Ali Holy Shrine in its most dignified and magnificent form.”
It is noteworthy that these activities come as part of the Shrine’s ongoing efforts to serve honored pilgrims and to commemorate major religious occasions, reflecting the lofty status of the Holy Shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) on the anniversary of the Prophet’s mabath.
