Imam Ali Holy Shrine Organizes Specialized Safety Workshop

The al-Nathm Center of the Development and Planning Department at the Holy Alawi Shrine organized a specialized workshop aimed at enhancing safety preparedness in emergency situations.

The workshop was held in cooperation with the Training and Development Unit of the State Company for Gas Supply and Services, Najaf Al-Ashraf Branch. It focused on the installation and operation of liquefied gas networks in various facilities, as well as mechanisms for responding to emergency scenarios.

In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Jawad al-Khuzaei, the workshop supervisor, explained:

“This workshop was conducted over two consecutive days for the Occupational Safety and Health staff of the Holy Alawi Shrine. Its primary objective was to develop their field skills, raise their level of readiness in confronting potential risks, and strengthen their ability to take swift and effective action during emergencies.”

 

Active Participation

Al-Khuzaei added:

“Approximately 23 trainees participated in the workshop, receiving both theoretical and practical training under the supervision of the specialized instructor, Engineer Atheer Abdul Amir Shakir. The sessions focused on applied topics, emphasizing approved safety standards and best practices for operating gas networks.”

 

Strengthening a Preventive Approach

It is noteworthy that this workshop was held as part of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s ongoing efforts to institutionalize a culture of prevention and early response in emergency situations. These efforts aim to ensure a safer and more sustainable working environment and to enhance the efficiency of personnel in safeguarding lives and property.
