Imam Ali Holy Shrine Launches “Our Father Ali” Initiative to Serve Underserved Communities

The Qanbar Center continues its implementation of the “Our Father Ali” campaign, aimed at repairing and equipping school desks in the villages of Najaf al-Ashraf.

According to the Central News Unit of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the Qanbar Center—affiliated with the Holy Shrine—has dedicated special attention this year to the repair and refurbishment of school desks in disadvantaged areas of Najaf al-Ashraf.

Safaa al-Kilabi, spokesperson for the Center, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:

“This campaign has included visits to several regions, among them Radawiyya and Hayyra, and was carried out in cooperation with the Service Caravan for the Holy Shrines and the Ansar al-Hawra Foundation.”

Al-Kallabi further explained:

“We have visited more than 30 schools and repaired and equipped over 1,800 classroom desks—an average of approximately 250 desks per school.”

He added:

“Volunteer groups are active across all districts and localities, continuously receiving and addressing requests from schools and administrators to meet their actual needs.”

These efforts form part of the social responsibility initiatives of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine and seek to improve educational environments in underserved areas—an undertaking that will help provide suitable learning conditions for students.
